When St. Paul’s launches its 40 Days of Purpose campaign the end of March, we will be joining a world wide network of= over 30,00 churches. Sparked by best selling book The Purpose Driven Lif= e by Pastor Rick Warren, this program leads both individuals a= nd churches to discover their spiritual purpose in life.<= /p>

I had the opportunity to meet Pastor Rick Warren pe= rsonally about 18 years ago, long before the book was written. I knew even = then that God was going to use this man greatly. At that time Saddleback Community = Church which he started in his basement, was =

meeting in a tent with several thousand in attendan= ce. Some fellow Pastors thought he was crazy. I thought he was leading the = way for reformation in the church in America. I was right!

At the heart of the 40 Days of Purpose are the five wonderful truths about God= ’s Purpose for us.

1. Worship—discovering how God created us t= o worship Him

2. Fellowship—seeing our relationships in the = church as a divine purpose in life

3. Discipleship—making spiritual growth a priori= ty
