St. Paul ’s is a local community church in the small village of Rinely, just three miles north of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania on Rt. 24. The small knoll on which it is situated was called Mt. Pleasant, so many in the area still refer to it as Mt. Pleasant Church. While we are not affiliated with any denomination, our congregation is filled with a melting pot of all backgrounds in the Christian faith. We have become a family of believers from a variety of denominations, all committed to reaching our community for Jesus Christ and living out His purposes in our lives. We want to show the love of Christ to all those who live here, letting them know that we truly believe God’s Word is relevant for our lives.
Since St. Paul’s beginning more than 150 years ago, we have held these divine truths as the foundations of our ministry . . .
God loves us, even though we often sin and don’t live our lives in a way that is pleasing to Him, He still loves us. He sent Jesus, His Son, to love the unlovable and give us what we don’t even deserve, forgiveness and a life forever in heaven with Him.
By His suffering, death and resurrection, Jesus purchased and won forgiveness and life for us. We who hear this Good News, accept and believe it, have this everlasting life and the hope that it offers.
The Bible is God's inerrant and infallible Word! This means it is both true and trustworthy. In it He reveals His wonderful love and purpose for our lives. It is the sole rule and source for our Christian belief, teaching and life.
